1920 - Hainsworths supply woollen melton cloth for tunics to London Fire Brigade
1960's - Hainsworths develop molten metal splash fabrics for the steel industry
1975 - Hainsworths introduce NOMEX® Type 450 to the UK
1979 - Hainsworths introduce NOMEX® III for firefighters turnout gear
1990 - Hainsworths work closely with DuPont to develop NOMEX ® Tough fabrics
1997 - Hainsworths NOMEX® Z200 selected by London Fire Brigade
2000 - Hainsworths introduce TI-technology™
2001 - Hainsworths develop Repel + finish
2002 - Hainsworths presented with the prestigious DuPont Innovation Award for TI-technology™ which continues to be selected by UK and overseas fire brigades. Capital investment in new machinery and testing equipment, including the installation of a TPP machine
2003 - Hainsworths win the highly coveted Queen's Award for Enterprise:Innovation for TI-technology™ . The Metropolitan Police chose garments manufactured in TI-technology™ for their next generation of public order coveralls
2004 - Fire brigades continue to upgrade from PBI Gold and NOMEX® Tough to NOMEX® with TI-technology™.
